Iowa’s leading receiver out indefinitely after practice injury. The program announced Tuesday morning that wide receiver Matt Vandeberg suffered a foot injury during practice on Monday. The School did not specify the nature of the injury or how long the senior will be out, other than saying he will “miss games.” Tom Kakert of HawkeyeReport.com reported Monday night that Vandeberg broke his foot. It’s a huge blow for Iowa’s offense. Vandeberg is leading the team in receptions (19), receiving yards (284) and touchdown catches (3). The team’s second leading receiver Jerminic Smith and Tight End George Kittle will be great options for Quarterback CJ Beathard this coming Saturday as Iowa takes on Northwestern at home.
